DISE Process

Identity Management has become an important supporting process for all organizations from global companies to municipalities. It offers the core tools to develop effectiveness while minimizing potential risks regarding users and access rights management. IdM also works as a business process enabler and our process based approach helps organizations to seize the opportunity.

In addition to process development services we also offer process-related training, of which you can find more information on the DISE Project page. Regarding change management we always aim to use involving methods which include workshops and simulations.

Role Management

The importance of role management cannot be emphasized enough in IdM programs. Role management is a process that needs successful assessment, system support, clear division of responsibilities and successful implementation. Our unique tools, methods and profound experience are guarantees for a successful outcome.

Generic phases of a role management project are::
  • As-is analysis
  • Role mining and definition
  • Process definition
  • Selection of technology and its implementation
The main deliverables of a role management project are consistent role definitions, a role map and definition of a role management process. A separate project can be divided from the big picture; for example, role mining in an organization that is undergoing reporting hierarchy restructuring but does not need comprehensive re-evaluation of the role management process.

Masterdata

Master data definition project is important but fairly straightforward when supported by capable professionals and practical approach. It includes the definition of basic user information (name, username, address...) and classiffication attributes (organization, matrix, location, cost center...) for employees and  if needed, for external workforce.

Depending on the client's circumstances, master data definition project can include:
  •  As-is analysis
  •  Definition of the requirements and data model of master data
  •  Assessment of process
  •  Selection of technology and its initialization
Main deliverables of master data definition project are data model and process definition. In master data definition we use our unique DISE structure™ methodology that has helped our clients to simplify their data models and structures resulting in business driven IdM process.

Process

IdM development is problematic without comprehensive analysis, mapping and definition of processes. This combined with process driven development of system architecture are a great assets on the way to functional identity management operations.

IdM process definition model should follow the same scheme applied in other business processes; same structure, glossary and rules. Typical attributes and information of process definition are:
  • process name and description
  • process owner and actors
  • process input and output
  • activities and information requirements
  • process duration, timing and size
Process is the link between strategy, people and technology, that enable progressive implementation and future development of succesful identity management operations.
